The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aikawa blocks a head kick by Jones.
Jones misses with a shot to the body

and Aikawa counters with a single leg into guard. Jones didn't expect that.
Aikawa slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Aikawa seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jones for as long as he can get away with.

Aikawa drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Aikawa jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Aikawa controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Aikawa drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Aikawa as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Jones screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Aikawa! Nice submission victory there!
