The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bobalainen shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Fuller napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fuller is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fuller could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Bobalainen decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Fuller tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bobalainen swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Bobalainen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fuller looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

We've been informed that Bobalainen has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Fuller drops back looking for a leg! Bobalainen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bobalainen manages to kick Fuller off! Fuller jumps back into Bobalainen's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bobalainen has Fuller pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Bobalainen pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Fuller tumbling to the mat - Bobalainen dives into Fuller's guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fuller holds on and takes a little breather.
Fuller bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bobalainen's guard.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Bobalainen. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Fuller connects with a nice short shot to Bobalainen's temple.

Fuller is looking for a kimura but Bobalainen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fuller to get the leverage.
