Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Dauden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JM Shock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryan Dauden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, JM Shock!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dauden throws a leg kick which misses Shock's front leg but catches the back leg as Shock tries to avoid it.
Dauden throws a solid leg kick but Shock takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Dauden.

and Dauden counters with a two punch combo.

Shock throws a series of punches but Dauden moves out of range.

Dauden takes the fight into the clinch.
Shock lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Shock fails to land.
I was talking to Dauden's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Dauden lands a hook that snaps the head of Shock backwards.
Shock misses with a knee strike.

Dauden ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dauden no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Shock throws a big right hand that misses.
Dauden wants to get back to his feet but Shock is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Shock postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Dauden is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Dauden utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Dauden has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Shock is looking to work some ground and pound but Dauden has wrist control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Dauden shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Shock's guard.

Dauden gets to his feet. Shock looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Dauden throws a one two combo.
Dauden feints a jab promting Shock to slip. Dauden then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Shock slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Dauden closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Shock's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Shock is looking for a triangle here but Dauden uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Shock is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Dauden decides to stand back up. Dauden steps back and let's Shock get back to his feet.

Shock throws a right and a left that Dauden avoids nicely.
Left hook, right uppercut from Dauden.
Shock dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Dauden. That did some damage!

JM Shock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Shock enables Dauden to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Shock manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Shock is working an open guard so Dauden takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Shock throws a series of punches but Dauden moves out of range.
Dauden throws a good cross that connects.

and Dauden counters with a three punch combo that has Shock backing up. Shock nods at Dauden to acknowledge the strikes.
Dauden lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
JM Shock is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dauden goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Sloppy strikes from Shock. Those never looked like landing.
Shock throws a head kick but Dauden moves out of range.

Dauden bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Dauden decides to stand up, so the ref orders Shock to his feet.
Shock slips a jab and a cross from Dauden.
Dauden keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Dauden looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Shock throws a nice looking combination but Dauden bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dauden is working the combinations to good effect here.
Dauden bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Shock's head.

Shock tries to sprawl but Dauden drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Dauden decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Shock turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Dauden chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Shock can pounce on him.

Shock is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Shock using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Dauden has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
