Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jean Pilou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shoei Braz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braz finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Pilou lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Shoei Braz has been cut.
Pilou moves into range and connects with a jab.

Pilou fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Braz, pushing him back against the cage.
Braz tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Pilou just stands there and leans against the cage.

Jean Pilou has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shoei Braz.
Braz jumps guard but Pilou turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Braz takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pilou throws a series of punches but Braz avoids them all with ease.

Braz on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Braz swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Braz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pilou sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Braz somewhat.
Pilou swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Pilou lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Braz walks into a left hand.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Braz is defended easily by Pilou.

Pilou lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Pilou.
Jean Pilou seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pilou pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Braz counters with a takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Braz is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Pilou looks calm but he's in trouble here. Braz gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Pilou is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Braz lets go of the hold and Pilou can pop his arm back in it's socket.
