Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Super Mario (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Winner Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

It looks like Super Mario has been cut.
Guy throws out a powerful jab.
Guy takes a swing at Mario's ribcage but misses.
Guy moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Guy cracks the inside of Mario's front leg.
Guy misses with a leg kick.
Mario misses the shot to the body.
Mario avoids the head kick by Guy.
Mario lands a really nice looking cross but Guy seems unphased.
Mario jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Winner Guy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Mario cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Guy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mario sees it coming and avoids it easily.
It looked like Mario wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Mario lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Mario looks to throw the jab but Guy is out of range.

Guy throws a sloppy head kick
and Mario counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Mario looks to score with a jab to the body but Guy is just out of range.

Guy pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mario swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Guy throws a leg kick which misses Mario's front leg but catches the back leg as Mario tries to avoid it.

It looked like Mario wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Mario stuns Guy with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Mario misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Guy.
Guy throws a lazy uppercut
and Mario counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Mario lands a big uppercut and Guy crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Guy looks OK. Mario waves Guy back to his feet!

It looks like Winner Guy has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mario cracks Guy with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Guy tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Mario pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Guy is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Super Mario!
