Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Willian French (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dolph Kruger Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Willian French!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dolph Kruger Jr!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kruger Jr drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
French has Kruger Jr pulled in close to control his posture.
French striking off his back but it's not causing Kruger Jr any problems.
Kruger Jr trying to control the position from guard on top but French is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kruger Jr in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
French has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
French looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kruger Jr is one step ahead there.
French is trying to keep Kruger Jr in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kruger Jr won't allow French to sweep him here.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

French rushes Kruger Jr and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Kruger Jr jumps into guard, dragging French to the mat.

Kruger Jr looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! French has picked Kruger Jr up and slammed him! Kruger Jr can't keep hold of the triangle and French manages to pass to side control!
French could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Kruger Jr is looking to regain half guard here but French keeps moving and retains side control.
You can see the frustration on Kruger Jr's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

French decides to stand back up. French steps back and let's Kruger Jr get back to his feet.

Kruger Jr decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Kruger Jr thows a huge punch but French dodges it nicely.
French moves into full guard.
French is adopting a defensive guard.
French will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

French is trying to control the position but Kruger Jr postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
French preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
French wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Kruger Jr keeps the fight on the outside.
Kruger Jr tries to counter by closing the distance.

Kruger Jr shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches French napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kruger Jr tries to move to mount but French blocks the move with his legs.
Kruger Jr tries to get to his feet but French is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Kruger Jr in his guard.
French is pulling down on Kruger Jr's head. It's preventing any offense from Kruger Jr, at least for the moment.

Kruger Jr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. French swivels though and keeps the full guard.

French is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kruger Jr is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Kruger Jr shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches French napping and manages to drive through into side control!

French tries to bench press Kruger Jr off him but Kruger Jr keeps the position.
Kruger Jr is trying to ground and pound but French uses the momentary lack of control by Kruger Jr to regain half guard.
Kruger Jr passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for French!
French keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
French is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Kruger Jr is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but French still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, French has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
French tries to stand but Kruger Jr is controlling his head.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

French tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no French has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dolph Kruger Jr showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Kruger Jr manages to get an easy takedown there - catching French on his heels. He'll look to pass French's guard now, I'm sure.
French trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

French might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Kruger Jr closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. French did well to prevent Kruger Jr getting side control.

French is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kruger Jr wants to improve his position but French is controlling well.
Kruger Jr wants to control but French is keeping busy and won't allow it.
French looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kruger Jr with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

French escapes and gets back to his feet.
Kruger Jr has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
French fails in his attempt to clinch.

French has his hands on Kruger Jr's head, controlling the position.

French throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
French lands some strikes from the bottom.
French pulls Kruger Jr in to control the position.
Kruger Jr wants to stand but French has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
French doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

French wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Willian French has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dolph Kruger Jr is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Kruger Jr fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
