Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corwin Anstey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zach Allen!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Anstey defends it nicely.
Allen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Allen looks to clinch
and Anstey counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Allen gets caught flat footed, as Anstey shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Anstey works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Anstey lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Well, if Anstey is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anstey wants to free his trapped foot but Allen is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Anstey is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Allen!
Anstey takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Anstey's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Allen is trying to reverse the position but instead Anstey has taken his back - oops!

Allen can't escape the position.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Anstey. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

Anstey trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Allen doesn't escape.
Allen rolls, trying to escape but Anstey keeps control of the position.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Allen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anstey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Anstey throwing damaging strikes from the back! Allen could be in trouble here!
Anstey is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Anstey is persistently looking for the submission but Allen is defending it well.

Allen defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Anstey's arms.

Allen trying to control but not successfully.
Allen is trying to break free.
I would not like to be Allen right now.
If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Anstey is stinking the place up with his stalling.
The referee is taking a good look at Allen as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Anstey!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Anstey lands with a hammerfist to the side of Allen's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Corwin Anstey dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Anstey fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Allen sprawls well initially but Anstey persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Anstey prevents Allen from standing back up.
Allen wants to get back to full guard.

Anstey seems to be looking for submissions.
Anstey is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Anstey postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Allen to stand up.
Allen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Anstey counters with a crisp right that sends Allen to the canvas! Anstey follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Corwin Anstey!
