Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rio Yaj!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Scottie Veins!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Yaj throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Veinss head.
Yaj connects with a knee to the head.
Veins has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Yaj lands a damaging elbow.
Veins tries to break free but Yaj pushes him back against the cage.
Yaj has Veins pressed against the cage, preventing Veins from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Veins can't break the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Yaj.
Veins takes an elbow to the forehead.
Yaj utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Yaj lands with a short shot to the head.
Veins takes a knee to the side of the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Yaj lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Yaj unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Veins looks winded!
A nice right hand lands inside from Yaj.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Veins is fighting off a takedown attempt but Yaj is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Veins to the mat. Veins regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Yaj is working Veins over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Yaj controls from within his opponent's guard.
Yaj passes into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Veins can do anything to dispel that myth.

Yaj seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Veins is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Rio Yaj!
