Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anas Giou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and What Ever (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ever swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Giou.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd cheers as Ever lands an impressive looking overhand right. Giou doesn't seem phased though.
Giou moves forwards but Ever connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Ever tries to bum rush Giou with a series of wild strikes but Giou uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
What Ever is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Ever works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Ever is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Giou had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Giou looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Ever looks to land a combination but Giou avoids it well.
Giou tries to counter with a takedown but Ever is quick to defend against it.
Ever fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Giou tries to move into range but Ever moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Ever might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Giou takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Ever connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Giou ducks right into an uppercut from Ever.

Ever cracks Giou with an open hand slap.
Ever works the jab nicely.
Ever lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Giou might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
Ever lunges at Giou with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Giou's hand.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ever, as that shot connected.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Giou closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
