Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Naya Shinoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Katuro Tisoaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shinoki comes to the ring accompanied by wadiako. Tisoaka has chosen Festivo as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Naya Shinoki !
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Katuro Tisoaka!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tisoaka defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Shinoki .
Shinoki is trying hard to land a takedown here. Tisoaka sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Tisoaka pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Shinoki throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tisoaka throws a head kick that misses

and Shinoki counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Tisoaka pushes Shinoki off looking to stand but Shinoki dives back in and keeps control.

Tisoaka is defending against the submission attempts here by Shinoki .
Shinoki thows a huge punch but Tisoaka dodges it nicely.
Shinoki will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shinoki lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Shinoki wants to free his trapped foot but Tisoaka is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shinoki is keen to just control but Tisoaka is a slippery customer.
Shinoki prevents Tisoaka from standing back up.
Shinoki is looking to take a break and control but Tisoaka is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Tisoaka is looking to escape.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Tisoaka tries to score with a low kick but Shinoki moves his leg out of the way.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Shinoki checks a leg kick nicely.
Tisoaka misses with a hook. Shinoki ducked under it nicely.
A bone on bone clash there as Shinoki blocks the leg kick.
Shinoki avoids the head kick by Tisoaka.
Shinoki shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tisoaka pinned against the ropes. Tisoaka gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tisoaka looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Naya Shinoki . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tisoaka scores with a one two! Shinoki had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Tisoaka throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shinoki .
Shinoki slips a jab and a cross from Tisoaka.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters circling - Tisoaka throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Tisoaka throws a head kick but Shinoki moves out of range.

Tisoaka knocks Shinoki to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
Tisoaka slows the pace down.
Shinoki manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shinoki trying to pass the guard but Tisoaka defending well.
Tisoaka is trying to stand up here but Shinoki is controlling him well.
Shinoki passes to full mount!
Tisoaka is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Tisoaka felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Shinoki throwing strikes here but Tisoaka is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Shinoki scoring with strikes but Tisoaka is staying in there.
Shinoki throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
BOOM! Shinoki connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Shinoki wants to control the pace but Tisoaka is squirming around nicely.

Shinoki looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Tisoaka is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Shinoki breaks from Tisoaka's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Shinoki wants to finish this one by submission but Tisoaka is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Shinoki .

Shinoki has hold of Tisoaka's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Tisoaka manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Katuro Tisoaka will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Tisoaka tries a low kick but Shinoki avoids it.
Tisoaka misses with a series of wild punches.
Shinoki scores with a head kick. Tisoaka tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Shinoki takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Tisoaka wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Look low, kick high! Tisoaka uses the oldest trick in the book to send Shinoki tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Tisoaka is absolutely delighted - when Shinoki wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Katuro Tisoaka! Katuro Tisoaka retains his welterweight title!
Katuro Tisoaka very nearly forgot to thank Spartan Nutrition amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
In defeat, Naya Shinoki stepped up to the mic, saying ' Didn't go my way I will come back stronger Congrats to my opponent an best of luck in the future thanks you all for the support'.
