Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mawzer VaraKolaudov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hakeem Jabbar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jabbar is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Passion Pit - Carried Away. Hakeem Jabbar is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mawzer VaraKolaudov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 35 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hakeem Jabbar!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jabbar misses with a wild body shot.

Jabbar gets caught napping as VaraKolaudov dives in and scores a takedown. Jabbar manages to retain guard.

VaraKolaudov is keen to just control but Jabbar is a slippery customer.
VaraKolaudov is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jabbar is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jabbar can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jabbar is looking to control VaraKolaudov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jabbar avoid being mounted?

VaraKolaudov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jabbar is looking to escape.
VaraKolaudov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

VaraKolaudov jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Jabbar is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Jabbar and VaraKolaudov has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The referee asks VaraKolaudov politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. VaraKolaudov prefers to stall for the moment though.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
VaraKolaudov misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Jabbar is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

VaraKolaudov looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

VaraKolaudov has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

VaraKolaudov drives through with a takedown into Jabbar's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Jabbar is rocked!
VaraKolaudov wants to control from the top but Jabbar keeps moving.

VaraKolaudov stands up from Jabbar's guard - VaraKolaudov perhaps looking for a knockout.
VaraKolaudov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jabbar tries to avoid it but VaraKolaudov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jabbar to the ground. Jabbar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A little jabbing left from Jabbar on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Jabbar lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.


It looks like Mawzer VaraKolaudov has been cut.
VaraKolaudov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Jabbar throws a good cross that connects.
Jabbar has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as VaraKolaudov is landing a low percentage of strikes.
VaraKolaudov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jabbar manages to avoid it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jabbar throws a sloppy head kick and VaraKolaudov moves out of range easily.
VaraKolaudov pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

VaraKolaudov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

VaraKolaudov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jabbar is trying to defend but VaraKolaudov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Jabbar is looking to get back to is feet but VaraKolaudov passes into side control.
Check out the look on VaraKolaudov's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
VaraKolaudov lands a strong strike to the head of Jabbar. That's dazed him! VaraKolaudov looking to finish here. Jabbar is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - VaraKolaudov lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mawzer VaraKolaudov!
Mawzer VaraKolaudov really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Big Bear Nutrition 160Q logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
