Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Voro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arik Dragunov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Miguel Voro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Arik Dragunov!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Voro fails to land the takedown.
A big left from Voro misses.
Dragunov tries to close the distance and clinch but Voro swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Voro tries to counter by clinching up but Dragunov breaks away and moves out of range.
Dragunov misses with a head kick.
Voro tries to close the distance and clinch but Dragunov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dragunov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Voro.
Dragunov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Voro rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dragunov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Dragunov is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Voro's half guard.
Dragunov is trying to control the action in half guard but Voro is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dragunov prevents Voro from improving his position.

Dragunov escapes and gets back to his feet.

Dragunov throws a left and a right that both miss

and Voro counters by moving into the clinch.
Dragunov tries to break the clinch but Voro is controlling the position.

Voro manages to break the clinch.
Dragunov tries to clinch there but Voro circles away.
Dragunov throws a head kick that misses.
Voro appears to be looking for a big counter.
Dragunov lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

A little feinted left hand from Voro on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Dragunov wants to clinch up but Voro keeps it at a distance.

Dragunov pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Voro back to the cage. Dragunov follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Dragunov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Voro looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Voro is looking to reverse the position.
Dragunov trying to control the position but Voro is working away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Voro is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Dragunov missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Voro trying to control here.
Dragunov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Voro keeps working.
Dragunov seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Voro knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dragunov on the ground.
Dragunov throwing shots but Voro is blocking nicely.
Voro is not content to let Dragunov control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Voro slips a jab and a cross from Dragunov.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dragunov swinging wildly here.
Voro feinted with a counter takedown.
Dragunov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Voro pushes Dragunov up against the cage in a clinch.
Dragunov gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Voro.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miguel Voro. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dragunov looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Dragunov has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Voro tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dragunov just stands there and leans against the cage.
Dragunov prevents a takedown attempt there.
Voro tries to pull guard but Dragunov forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Voro is breathing heavily.

Voro's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Dragunov scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Voro tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Voro is not content to let Dragunov control the position.

Dragunov decides to stand back up. Dragunov steps back and let's Voro get back to his feet.
Dragunov feints a jab promting Voro to slip. Dragunov then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Voro slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
A cross from Dragunov lands.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Voro keeps the fight on the outside.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Arik Dragunov dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Voro gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Dragunov wants to control from the top but Voro keeps moving.
Dragunov lands a couple of decent looking shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dragunov gets to his feet. Voro looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Dragunov shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Voro really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dragunov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Voro does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Voro is doing well to control the position and prevent Dragunov from advancing to side control.
Dragunov wants to stand up but Voro is controlling the position.
Arik Dragunov has got the better of the ground game so far.

Dragunov is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Voro is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
