Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rippo El Grande (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billo Marks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rippo El Grande!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Billo Marks!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marks avoids a punch combination nicely.
Marks is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
El Grande lets loose with a powerful body kick. Marks will feel that in the morning.
El Grande fails to land with a series of punches.
El Grande throws a head kick but Marks moves out of range.
Marks unleashes a big counter combination but El Grande bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
El Grande lands with a thumping leg kick.
El Grande shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Marks defends it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
El Grande delivers a nice body kick.

Marks chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before El Grande can pounce on him.
El Grande has his takedown stuffed

and Marks counters with a shoot takedown. El Grande fights it but they end up in guard.
El Grande will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Marks drops back looking for a leg! El Grande is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and El Grande manages to kick Marks off! Marks jumps back into El Grande's guard.
El Grande is trying to control the position but Marks postures up.
El Grande knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marks on the ground.

Marks drops back looking for a leg! El Grande is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and El Grande manages to kick Marks off! Marks jumps back into El Grande's guard.
Marks stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. El Grande swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Marks trying to control the position from guard on top but El Grande is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Marks drops back looking for a leg! El Grande is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and El Grande manages to kick Marks off! Marks jumps back into El Grande's guard.
Marks missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Marks drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Marks jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Marks thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Marks forces his way into half guard.

Marks is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and El Grande defends it well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Marks is working for a kimura but El Grande is defending it quite comfortably.

Marks is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. El Grande doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Marks.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
El Grande won't allow Marks to pass to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Billo Marks dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Marks in particular looking to stall.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
El Grande is not content to let Marks control the position.

El Grande looking for submissions off his back.
Marks is nestled in close to El Grande, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Marks is trying to work for a kimura but El Grande is defending well.

Marks working El Grande over with strikes.

Marks is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. El Grande doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Marks.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
El Grande is refusing to be controlled, as Marks sits in half guard.

Marks wants to work for an arm triangle but El Grande is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Billo Marks has got the better of the ground game so far.
El Grande is trying to escape back to his feet but Marks uses the scramble to pass into side control.
El Grande is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Marks has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Billo Marks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

El Grande throws a sloppy head kick and Marks moves out of range easily.
El Grande misses with a combination

and Marks decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in El Grande's guard.
Marks slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Marks has hold of El Grande's arm. He's looking for a kimura. El Grande seems comfortable defending it but Marks has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! El Grande is real pain and he's forced to tap out! El Grande is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Marks couldn't care less - he's delighted!
