The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Burke shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Burke is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Thomas trying to control but Burke postures up.

Burke decides to stand and escape the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thomas misses with an uppercut
and Burke counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Burke throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

and Burke moves into the clinch.

Thomas tries to circle away but Burke has him pinned against the cage.

Burke drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Thomas scores with a nice hook to the head.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Thomas wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Burke has him pressed against the cage.
Thomas has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Burke after a bit of a struggle.

Burke pulls guard successfully.
Thomas wants to control from the top but Burke keeps moving.
Burke might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Burke manages to escape and get back to his feet.
A right-left combo lands from Burke.

Thomas fails to land with a series of punches.
Thomas takes a swing at Burke's ribcage but misses.

Burke changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Thomas looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Burke decides to stand up, so the ref orders Thomas to his feet.

Burke has managed to clinch.
Burke is looking to take this one to the mat.
Thomas is trying to break the clinch but Burke is controlling him.
Burke is trying to pull guard but Thomas turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Thomas tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Burke manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Oh Burke is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Thomas is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Thomas shuts the power down on Burke. Lights out, game over! Thomas is your winner.
