PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gigi Giorgio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Skhu Dan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan has chosen NEVER SAY NEVER as his entrance music. Skhu Dan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Skhu Dan!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Giorgio's waist but Giorgio gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dan off to one side.
Giorgio is looking to counter punch.
Dan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Giorgio as he jumps to the side.

Dan moves into the clinch successfully.
Dan goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Giorgio manages to work his way to half guard, despite Dan's best efforts.

Dan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dan tries for a takedown but Giorgio circles away easily

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Dan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Giorgio walks away with a smile on his face. Dan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Giorgio dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Dan stiff and motionless on the mat!

In defeat, Skhu Dan stepped up to the mic, saying 'I TRIED MY BEST,BUT MY BEST WAS NOT ENOUGH'.
