Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Efrain Cantu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eli Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simmons has chosen Jonny Lives! - Get Steady as his entrance music. Eli Simmons has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Efrain Cantu's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Efrain Cantu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eli Simmons! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Simmons moves into range and clinches up with Cantu. Simmons tries to pull guard but Cantu won't allow it.
Cantu drags the fight down to the ground.
Cantu looking to hit a scissor sweep but Simmons is one step ahead there. Simmons trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Simmons trying to control the position from guard on top but Cantu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Simmons postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Cantu is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Simmons, into his guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cantu is looking to stand up but Simmons won't let him. Simmons should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cantu stands up from guard. Let's bang! Simmons throws a body shot but no joy. Simmons closes the distance and clinches up with Cantu, looking for a takedown. Simmons pushes Cantu against the cage but Cantu circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Simmons is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cantu's half guard. Cantu is trying to control but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Simmons with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Simmons wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cantu keeps working. Simmons is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Cantu scores with a few weak punches. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Cantu is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Simmons's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Simmons's back! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Simmons tries to roll but Cantu sticks to his back.
Simmons just trying to survive but Cantu is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Simmons controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad spot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Simmons trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Cantu misses with a punch to the head. Cantu controlling well, preventing Simmons from escaping the position.
Cantu is landing with strikes. Simmons can't take much more of this. Simmons is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Simmons is trying to shake Cantu off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Cantu won't be happy about giving up the dominant position. Simmons clinches up with Cantu and pushes him back against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Good body shot from Cantu.
Simmons's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Simmons tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cantu sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Simmons somewhat. Cantu tries to counter by clinching up but Simmons breaks away and moves out of range. Efrain Cantu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eli Simmons. Simmons fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Simmons misses with a takedown attempt and Cantu counters into the clinch. Nicely done. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Simmons tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Cantu just stands there and leans against the cage. Cantu jumps guard but Simmons turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. This has been an exciting period of action! Simmons breaks from the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Efrain Cantu will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Efrain Cantu's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Simmons pushes Cantu up against the cage in a clinch. Cantu's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Simmons tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cantu smiles and moves away.
Simmons throws a series of punches but Cantu avoids them all with ease. Cantu seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Simmons lands with a kick to the temple. Cantu shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Simmons drops Cantu with a naaaaasty hook - Cantu is in real trouble here! Simmons dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eli Simmons! After the big win, Eli Simmons made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Sportsmanship Ltd. and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
