Baring is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Goyang Dumang. Jaka Baring has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rolland Owen's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Owen gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Owen pulls guard.
Owen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Baring's guard.

Owen with a flurry of punches that miss.

Owen stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Owen fails with an attempt to clinch.
Baring lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Owen circles away quickly and effectively.
Baring swats away the attempt to clinch by Owen.

Baring rushes Owen and presses him up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Owen can't break the clinch.
Baring tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Baring lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Owen backwards.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Owen is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Baring blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Owen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Baring gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Rolland Owen has been cut.
Baring connects with a nasty looking knee right to Owen's face.

Owen is rocked!
Owen tries to break the clinch but Baring is controlling the position.
Oh Owen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Baring obliges.

Baring manages to pull guard.

Owen drops back, looking for a kneebar! Baring looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Baring looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Baring!

Owen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Owen tries to improve position but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Baring scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Owen is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Baring can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

In his post fight interview, Jaka Baring started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
