The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones misses with a left hand
and Jones takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jack Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kothciushco displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jones throws out the jab.
Kothciushco is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Jones.
Jones connects with a leg kick. Kothciushco looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Kothciushco looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well.
Jones lands with an uppercut that bounces Kothciushco off the cage and back into range.
Jones throws a body punch but Kothciushco moves out of range.
It looked like Kothciushco was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Jones.

Jones tries to bum rush Kothciushco with a series of wild strikes but Kothciushco uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jones lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from Kothciushco, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kothciushco tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Jones crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kothciushco - the referee stops the clock and Jones gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kothciushco. Jones manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Jones throws a head kick that misses.
Jones moves out of range as Kothciushco throws a body kick.
Kothciushco uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kothciushco keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kothciushco slips a straight right by Jones.
Kothciushco takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses.
Jones is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Jones misses with the combination.
Kothciushco takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Kothciushco slips under a jab from Jones.
Kothciushco misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jones.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kothciushco takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Kothciushco has Jones up against the cage in a clinch.
Jones breaks from the clinch.
Jack Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kothciushco feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jones's calf.
Good exchange - Jones coming out on top.
Jones connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kothciushco's hands.
Kothciushco is rocked!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Kothciushco square on the jaw! Damn, Kothciushco is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!

Jack Jones bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
