Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Test Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Test Speed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Anderson Ramos!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Sandra Marshall and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramos swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Speed counters with a nice body shot.
Anderson Ramos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ramos tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Speed lands a jab-cross combination.
Ramos looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Speed jabs Ramos right on the nose. Ramos blinks but takes it well.
Ramos tries to clinch but Speed moves out of range.
Speed was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Ramos fails with the takedown
and Speed counters with a straight right hand.
Ramos falls off balance throwing a combination
and Speed counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ramos pulls out of a head kick attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Speed keeps the fight on the outside.
A quick step to the side and Speed tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ramos tried to score with a low kick but Speed checks it.
Ramos gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Speed counters with a nice uppercut.

Ramos throws a leg kick that is checked
and Speed counters with a nice uppercut.
Ramos has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Ramos there as he acknowledges the shot.
Speed lands a nice hook to Ramos's body. Ramos takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Speed uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ramos.
A counter left hand to the body from Speed misses its target.
Test Speed is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ramos misses with an uppercut.
A quick step to the side and Speed tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Speed moves out of range of the strikes.
Ramos tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Speed connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Speed is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Speed jabs Ramos right on the nose. Ramos blinks but takes it well.
Speed closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Ramos tries to clinch but Speed moves out of range.
Ramos shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Speed counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Test Speed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anderson Ramos.

Ramos misses with a takedown attempt
and Speed counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Ramos looks winded!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Speed feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ramoss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Ramos throws a right and a left that Speed avoids nicely.
Ramos swats away the attempt to clinch by Speed.
Speed punishes Ramos's body with a nice straight punch.
Ramos swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Speed throws a big counter combination but Ramos scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Speed lands a right hook to the body.
Speed is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Ramos throws an off balance right hand
and Speed counters with a straight right hand.
Ramos rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Speed counters with a nice uppercut.
A combination from Ramos does no damage.
Ramos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Speed's waist but Speed gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ramos off to one side.

Speed moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Speed ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ramos moves away.
Speed ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Ramos throws a left and a right that both miss
and Speed counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Ramos gets tackled into the cage by Speed. Speed maintains the clinch.

Ramos breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Speed misses with a body shot.
Speed lands a jab to Ramos's midsection.
Speed takes a swing at Ramos's ribcage but misses.
Speed slips a jab and a cross from Ramos.
Speed is looking to wear down Ramos with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Ramos takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Speed lands a slapping body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Speed throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Speed misses with a body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ramos misses with a takedown attempt
and Speed counters with a nice body shot.

Speed gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Speed is trying to break the clinch but Ramos is controlling him.

Speed manages to break the clinch.
A punch combination from Ramos misses.
Speed will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Speed clinches with his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Test Speed dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Speed swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Speed lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Ramos tries to clinch up but Speed circles away and keeps his distance.
Ramos takes one on the button.
Ramos fails with a takedown attempt.

Ramos drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Ramos wants to control for a moment but Speed uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Ramos is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ramos decides to stand up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Speed avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Ramos gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Ramos wants to get back to striking at distance but Speed won't allow it.
Ramos should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Ramos jumps guard but Speed stands there with Ramos around his waist. Ramos gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ramos is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Speed is defending well.
Test Speed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anderson Ramos.
Ramos wants to get back to striking at distance but Speed won't allow it.

Speed pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Speed swinging wildly here.
Speed is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Nice body punch from Speed.
A punch combination from Ramos misses.
Ramos looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Ramos tries to pull guard but Speed holds him up against the cage and eventually Ramos drops back down to his feet.
Ramos has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Speed avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Ramos goes for a takedown attempt but Speed pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Anderson Ramos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Speed fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ramos looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Ramos takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Speed lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ramos at a distance.
Speed connects with a crisp jab.
Speed fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Test Speed is winning the standup battle so far.
Ramos throws a right and a left that Speed avoids nicely.
Speed appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

and Speed counters with a one-two to the body.
Speed lands a nice shot to the body.
Ramos tries to clinch but Speed is having none of it.
Speed swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Speed cracks a nice hook into Ramos's ribs.
Ramos misses with a double jab
and Speed counters with a nice body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ramos avoids the body shot from Speed.
Speed lands with a right hand.
Speed works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Ramos tried to score with a low kick but Speed checks it.
Speed rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ramos moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ramos shoots in for a takedown but Speed shows good takedown defense.
It looked like Speed was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Speed works the jab nicely.
Speed lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Speed clinches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Test Speed dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Ramos looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Speed. Ramos does a little dance to reset his feet.
Speed scores with a nice right hand.
Speed throws a body shot but no joy.

Ramos shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ramos was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Speed tries to buck Ramos off but Ramos is having none of it.
Ramos takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Speed dodges the ground and pound from Ramos.
Speed is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Ramos decides to stand back up. Ramos steps back and let's Speed get back to his feet.
Ramos wants to clinch up but Speed keeps it at a distance.
Speed ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Ramos dives in and grabs Speed's left leg, looking for a takedown. Speed pushes down on Ramos's head and hops out.

Ramos fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Speed sprawls well initially but Ramos persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Speed wants to control but Ramos is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Speed works his way to full guard. Good work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Speed pulls Ramos in close to prevent any damage.
Speed looking for a sweep. Not yet Speed, not yet.

Speed has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ramos can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Speed keeping moving, preventing Ramos from controlling successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ramos won't allow Speed to sweep him here.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Speed will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Ramos stands and steps away. Speed gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Test Speed is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Speed just misses with a punch to the body.
Ramos goes for a double leg but Speed avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Speed continues to drive forward.
A quick step to the side and Speed tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Test Speed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anderson Ramos.
Speed scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ramos doesn't seem bothered though.
Speed avoids a punch combination nicely.
Speed is looking for a counter combo.

Speed misses with a body shot.
Ramos throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Speed just misses with a punch to the body.
Speed scores with a hook.
Speed ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ramos moves away.
Ramos takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Speed cracks Ramos with an open hand slap.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ramos tries to clinch but Speed moves away
and Speed counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Ramos with a lazy takedown attempt
and Ramos takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Anderson Ramos has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Speed takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Test Speed.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Speed, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
