Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andres Hammond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mateo Collins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Collins's choice of entrance music: Linkin Park-Line in the Sand. Mateo Collins is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Steve Montenegro and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammond circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hammond looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Hammond throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Collins was covering up waiting for the punch and Hammond finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Collins working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hammond.
Hammond has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Collins looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hammond is one step ahead there.

Collins is looking to stand up but Hammond isn't so interested in that idea.
Hammond could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hammond decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Collins, up you get!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Collins bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Collins is trying to ground and pound but Hammond uses the momentary lack of control by Collins to regain half guard.

Collins is nestled in close to Hammond, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Collins wants to stand but Hammond is controlling the position.

Collins is trying to control the position but Hammond postures up.
Collins pushes a forearm under Hammond's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Hammond is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
