PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andreas Clements (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carter O Malley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Malley comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Chicago - 25 or 6 to 4 kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from O Malley. Clements does a little dance to reset his feet.
Clements fails with an attempt to clinch.
Clements tries to close the distance and clinch but O Malley swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
O Malley tries a quick counter leg kick but Clements is wise to it.

Clements gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Clements is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Clements has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
