PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Panom Kampaengsam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seto The Cobra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kampaengsam fails to land with a series of punches.
The Cobra is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Kampaengsam with a body shot.
Kampaengsam misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Horrible takedown attempt by The Cobra or perhaps it was just good defense by Kampaengsam, which made it look bad.
Kampaengsam shoots in but no luck this time.

The Cobra drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kampaengsam looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kampaengsam looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kampaengsam!

The Cobra has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kampaengsam after a bit of a struggle.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Kampaengsam jumps guard and drags The Cobra to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The Cobra prevents Kampaengsam from getting back to his feet.
The Cobra is pushing down on Kampaengsam's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kampaengsam is fighting to maintain full guard but The Cobra has managed to sneak the leg through.

The Cobra is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kampaengsam defends it well.

Kampaengsam is trying to drag The Cobra to the mat but The Cobra just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

The Cobra shoots in for a double leg but Kampaengsam sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The Cobra is working for takedown but Kampaengsam is calmly controlling the position for now.

Kampaengsam is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that The Cobra can do to turn this around?

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Panom Kampaengsam.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kampaengsam, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
