Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stan Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rod Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Sanders's choice of entrance music: I Have a Dream. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stan Marsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Rod Sanders!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marsh throws an overhand right that lands on Sanders's shoulder, as Sanders tries to avoid the shot.
Sanders avoids the head kick by Marsh.
Sanders is looking to land body kicks.
Marsh keeps the fight on the outside.
Marsh moves out of range as Sanders throws a body kick.
Sanders scores with a nice head shot.
Sanders tries to clinch there but Marsh circles away.
Marsh lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sanders's sensitive parts.
Nice straight punches there by Sanders. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Sanders.
Sanders fails with the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanders clobbers Marsh with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Sanders looks to land a combination. Marsh sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Sanders has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Sanders slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sanders pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Sanders connects with a looping right hand.
Sanders scores with a nice body kick.

Marsh gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Sanders breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sanders tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Sanders moves out of range of the body kick from Marsh.
Marsh looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Sanders misses with a looping left.
Sanders loads up on a big right hand but Marsh slips the punch.
Sanders uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Marsh has time to react.
A jab from Marsh finds it's way through Sanders's defenses.


It looks like Rod Sanders has been cut.

Sanders manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Marsh on his heels. He'll look to pass Marsh's guard now, I'm sure.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sanders stands and throws Marsh's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Marsh manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Marsh will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Marsh decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Sanders throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Sanders shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sanders was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Sanders trying to control the position but Marsh is working away.
Marsh is trying to get back to half guard.
Sanders working the head and body with strikes.
Sanders misses with the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marsh is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Marsh can't do much from the bottom here.

Marsh prevents Sanders from improving position.
Marsh taking a bit of punishment here - Sanders scoring with strikes.
Marsh tries to buck Sanders off but Sanders is having none of it.

Marsh wants to get back to his feet but Sanders drags him back down.
Marsh is looking to reverse the position.
Sanders creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Marsh is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Sanders has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Sanders tries to move into full mount but can't pass Marsh's legs.

Sanders is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Marsh is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Marsh tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Sanders scores with a couple of short elbows.
Marsh is working to avoid the ground and pound but Sanders connects with a decent elbow.
Sanders has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Marsh!
Marsh is in all sorts of trouble here.

Sanders looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Sanders jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Marsh is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Marsh and Sanders has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Sanders misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rod Sanders dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Rod Sanders's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


A head kick misses from Sanders.
Marsh misses with a body shot.
Sanders throws out a counter right but Marsh avoids it with no problem.
Marsh throws a low kick, looking for Sanders's leg but Sanders calmly moves out of range.
Marsh stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Marsh keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sanders throws a push kick but Marsh slaps the foot to one side.
Marsh half committed to a counter leg kick.
Sanders dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sanders fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Marsh looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Sanders avoids the head kick by Marsh.
Marsh throws a sloppy head kick and Sanders moves out of range easily.

Both fighters circling a little - Sanders finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Sanders tries to clinch up but Marsh circles away and keeps his distance.
Rod Sanders seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sanders closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Marsh quickly recovers to half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Marsh pushes Sanders off looking to stand but Sanders dives back in and keeps control.

Sanders looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Marsh has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sanders is working away from the top position though.

Marsh is refusing to be controlled, as Sanders sits in half guard.

Marsh pushes Sanders off and gets back to his feet.

Sanders looking to score a takedown here. Marsh is defending well but Sanders drives through and ends up in Marsh's guard.

Marsh pushes Sanders off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Sanders shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Marsh as he avoids it easily.
Marsh wants to clinch.
Sanders misses with a body kick.
A counter left hand to the body from Marsh misses its target.

Sanders drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sanders passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Sanders advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marsh tries to lock up and control but Sanders gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Sanders wants to control the pace but Marsh is squirming around nicely.
Sanders has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Marsh takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Sanders scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Marsh?
Marsh tries to hold on but Sanders postures up.
Sanders raining down hammerfists from mount.
Marsh really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Sanders wants to take Marsh's back but he can't do it this time.
Sanders unloading with bombs!
Marsh regains half guard.
Marsh is looking to control Sanders's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Marsh avoid being mounted?

Marsh tries to kick Sanders off but Sanders keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sanders connects with a nice short shot to Marsh's temple.
Marsh won't allow Sanders to pass to mount.
Sanders lands with a punch from half guard.

Sanders has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Marsh defend it? Sanders steps over the head and cranks it - Marsh is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Sanders!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Rod Sanders!
