The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Longo misses with a low kick.
Mackaye shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Longo napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Longo is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Mackaye is controlling him well.
Mackaye wants to control but Longo is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mackaye in side control lands a decent elbow.
Longo is working to avoid the ground and pound but Mackaye connects with a decent elbow.
Mackaye misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Mackaye trying to control the action but Longo is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Longo takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Mackaye landing a few strikes.
It looks like Leroy Longo has been cut.
Mackaye is trying to get an arm triangle but Longo is defending well.
Mackaye misses with the ground and pound.
Mackaye tries to score with some ground and pound. Longo controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Longo on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Mackaye is looking to take a break and control but Longo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Longo is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Longo is rocked!
The cut above Leroy Longo's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Mackaye lands a strong strike to the head of Longo. That's dazed him! Mackaye looking to finish here. Longo is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Mackaye lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
