The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Leigh Adams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Adams digs a good body shot into Martin's ribs.
Martin swings widly with a right hand
and Adams counters with a series of strikes. Martin will be more careful next time no doubt.
Martin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Adams swivels and escapes.

Martin gets a double leg takedown into Adams's guard.
Martin throws a strike but Adams rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Adams works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Adams throws a right and a left that both miss.
Martin takes one to the side of the head.
Adams slaps away a takedown attempt from Martin, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Adams will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Nice straight punches there by Adams. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Adams.
Martin takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Martin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Adams but Adams pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Martin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Adams tries to avoid it but Martin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Adams to the ground. Adams escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Adams lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
