Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Boon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Doby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boon comes to the cage accompanied by American Ninja 2 OST - Truckin'. Doby is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: International Players Anthem. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boon takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Doby closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Boon did well to prevent Doby getting side control.

Doby is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Boon is just riding it out for now. Doby eventually gives up the hold.

We've been hearing good reports from Boon's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Doby is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Boon sees it coming and defends easily.
Doby looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Boon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Doby lands a nice short elbow.

Boon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Doby can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Oh but Boon is tightening it up a little... Doby has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Doby reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Doby taps out! Nice BJJ there by Boon!
