Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Gilmore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Wells (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shawn Gilmore is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shawn Gilmore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Wells!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gilmore takes the fight into the clinch.

Wells wants the takedown. Gilmore is fighting it off but Wells persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Gilmore's guard against the cage.
Wells slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Gilmore not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wells is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wells trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Gilmore manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Gilmore wants to control from the top but Wells keeps moving.
Gilmore stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wells swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gilmore's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Wells has Gilmore pulled in close to control his posture.

Wells looking for subs off his back but Gilmore has passed one foot through into half guard.
Wells is trying to get back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gilmore sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Wells moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Wells throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Gilmore escapes and throws Wells's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Wells regains half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wells tries to roll over but Gilmore keeps him under control.
Wells makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Wells.
Gilmore trying to control but Wells is working from the bottom.
Gilmore is really struggling to control Wells but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Wells is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wells can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gilmore controls the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Gilmore doesn't manage to clinch there - Wells circles away.

Wells fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gilmore sprawls well initially but Wells persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Wells is keen to just control but Gilmore is a slippery customer.
Wells is controlling the pace.
Gilmore keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyle Wells dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Wells gets a double leg takedown into Gilmore's guard.
Gilmore will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Gilmore being controlled here, momentarily.
Gilmore really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Gilmore keeping moving, preventing Wells from controlling successfully.
Gilmore can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Wells controls the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wells is looking to advance position but Gilmore has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Wells tries to hold on but Gilmore pushes him away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gilmore trying to control but Wells is having none of it.
Wells wants to control but Gilmore is having none of it.

Wells somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wells lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.


Gilmore is rocked!
Gilmore leaves his chin hanging out and Wells seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Gilmore crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kyle Wells!
An intense looking Kyle Wells took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: ' I want you to remember one thing. When you're the greatest fighter in the world today, they got a name for you. They don't call you a great fighter, they call you Kyle Wells. Beat me if you can.”'.
