The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Vladimir Khabensky and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sullivan tries a low kick but Meade avoids it.
Meade is looking for the big counter here.
Meade looks to score with a jab to the body but Sullivan is just out of range.

Meade throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sullivan.
Sullivan throws a quick counter kick to the body but Meade avoids it.
We've been told by Sullivan's head coaches at Ironfist MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Meade throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sullivan misses with a head kick.
Meade lands with a good body shot.

Sullivan throws a lazy right hand but Meade sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Meade looks like he wants to counter punch here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sullivan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sloppy strikes from Meade. Those never looked like landing.
No joy there for Meade, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Josh Meade seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Meade swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sullivan closes the distance and clinches.
Sullivan doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Sullivan lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Sullivan creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

It looks like Josh Meade has been cut.
Meade is trying to break the clinch but Sullivan is controlling him.

Sullivan has Meade pressed up against the ropes in a tight Thai clinch. Meade is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Sullivan - that's hurt Meade badly! Oh, another knee lands and Meade is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Meade doesn't seem to be complaining.
