Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Quincy Stephenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Joestar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Quincy Stephenson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joseph Joestar!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Roberts and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Joestar closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Stephenson's guard.
Joestar in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Stephenson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Joestar wants to control from the top but Stephenson keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Joestar throwing strikes from guard but Stephenson blocks nicely.
Stephenson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Joestar dives into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stephenson misses with a strike from the bottom.
Stephenson is not content to let Joestar control the position.
Stephenson can't do much from the bottom here.
Stephenson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Joestar is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Joestar tries to advance to mount but Stephenson denies him.

Stephenson is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Stephenson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Joestar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Joestar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Joestar is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Joestar decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Stephenson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Joestar tries a head kick but it misses.

Joestar fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stephenson, pushing him back against the cage.
Joestar fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Joestar manages to pull guard.
Stephenson won't allow Joestar to get back to his feet.
Stephenson looking to sit in guard and control but Joestar gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Joestar avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Joestar throws a big right hand that misses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Joestar controls from within his opponent's guard.
Stephenson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Joestar throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Joestar shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Stephenson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Joestar looks up at the clock and then as Stephenson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Joestar smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Joestar decides to stand up, so the ref orders Stephenson to his feet.
Joestar tests Stephenson's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Stephenson clinches up with Joestar and pushes him back against the cage.

Joestar gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Joestar takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Joestar is nestled in close to Stephenson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Joseph Joestar has got the better of the ground game so far.
Stephenson is staying active underneath Joestar, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Stephenson wants to control but Joestar is keeping busy.

Stephenson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Stephenson thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Joestar is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Stephenson is just riding it out for now. Joestar eventually gives up the hold.

That's time! Stephenson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


A head kick misses from Stephenson.

Joestar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stephenson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Stephenson is pushing Joestar's head away, looking to escape. Joestar manages to hold on to the position though.

Stephenson attempts a counter takedown but Joestar avoids it well and moves away.

Stephenson gets caught napping as Joestar dives in and scores a takedown. Stephenson manages to retain guard.

Joestar feints and then cracks Stephenson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Stephenson down.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Joestar clinches with his opponent.
Joestar tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Stephenson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Stephenson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Stephenson stops a takedown attempt from Joestar.
The referee calls for Joestar to work.

Joestar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Joestar looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Stephenson!
Joestar takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Stephenson is holding Joestar down, trying to stall.
Stephenson bucks up and tries to throw Joestar off but instead Joestar has got his back!
A lull in the action here.

Joestar has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Stephenson has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Joestar has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Stephenson's body.
Stephenson is trying to remain composed but Joestar is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
Joestar gets his hands free as Stephenson looks to control.
Stephenson is trying to get back to his feet but Joestar has full control of the position and if anything, Stephenson has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well Joestar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
