Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Augusto Vargas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Vargas sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Johnson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vargas tries to avoid it but Johnson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vargas to the ground. Vargas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Johnson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vargas circles away quickly and effectively.
A punch combination from Johnson misses.
Johnson tries a head kick but it misses.
Johnson moves in looking to clinch but Vargas pushes him off.

Vargas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Vargas has gone for a leg lock! Johnson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Vargas's guard.

Vargas has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Johnson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Johnson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vargas on the ground.

Vargas has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Johnson should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Vargas has tightened it up now! Johnson should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
