We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
peters doesn't manage to clinch there - Markov circles away.

peters drives through with a takedown into guard.
peters won't allow Markov to sweep him here.

Markov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but peters can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Markov on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Markov tries to get out of the position.
peters is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
peters has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Markov is proving hard to escape from.

Markov wants to lay and pray for a moment but peters keeps working.
Markov is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Markov wants to free his trapped foot but peters is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Markov is nestled in close to peters, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Markov seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Markov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Markov lands a huge takedown. peters is out but the ref is slow to react and Markov lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. peters lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
