Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Florencio Dalton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Leblanc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Florencio Dalton has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Florencio Dalton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sam Leblanc!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leblanc shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
It looked like Dalton was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Leblanc will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Leblanc closes the distance and pushes Dalton back into the cage.
Dalton wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Dalton has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Leblanc avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Dalton tries to break free but Leblanc pushes him back against the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Leblanc jumps guard.
Leblanc is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Dalton would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Leblanc bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dalton's guard.

Dalton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Leblanc is pushing down on Dalton's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dalton is fighting to maintain full guard but Leblanc has managed to sneak the leg through.
Leblanc perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Dalton is looking to control Leblanc's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dalton avoid being mounted?

Leblanc is trying to drag Dalton to the mat but Dalton just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Dalton jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Leblanc walks away with a smile on his face. Dalton gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Leblanc fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Dalton has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Dalton looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Leblanc drives through and clinches with Dalton against the cage.

Dalton fails to pull guard.
Leblanc tries to pull guard but Dalton forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Leblanc breaks from the clinch.

Leblanc closes the distance and clinches.
Leblanc goes for a takedown in the clinch but Dalton prevents it.
Dalton tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Leblanc just stands there and leans against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Dalton's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Leblanc pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Dalton gets tackled into the cage by Leblanc. Leblanc maintains the clinch.

Leblanc breaks the clinch.

Leblanc clinches with his opponent.
Leblanc jumps guard but Dalton turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Dalton is looking to control Leblanc's arms but Leblanc gets an underhook and turns him. Now Dalton has his back to the cage.

Leblanc's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Leblanc is looking to slow Dalton down with leg kicks.
Leblanc throws an off balance right hand
and Dalton counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Leblanc shoots and misses

and Dalton holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dalton jumps guard but Leblanc stands there with Dalton around his waist. Dalton gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Leblanc pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A left and a right from Dalton both land. Nice combination.
Dalton displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Leblanc.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Dalton is looking to clinch.
Leblanc shoots in looking for a takedown but Dalton manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Leblanc's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Leblanc jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Leblanc will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Leblanc is on top in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Leblanc accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Dalton is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Leblanc is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Sam Leblanc showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Leblanc shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Dalton counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Leblanc crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Dalton - the referee stops the clock and Leblanc gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Dalton. Leblanc manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Dalton is looking to clinch but Leblanc is avoiding it.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dalton looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Florencio Dalton has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sam Leblanc is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
