With a record of 10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oscar Avila!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herrera tries to close the distance and clinch up but Avila swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Herrera fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Avila looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Jerry Herrera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Avila stuffs the takedown attempt from Herrera. Herrera gets slowly back to his feet.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Avila shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Herrera eats them both and turns towards Avila to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
A punch lands to the side of Herrera 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Avila slaps away a takedown attempt from Herrera, before circling back to the center of the mat.

and Avila counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Avila might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Herrera is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Avila.
Avila fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Avila stalks Herrera and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Herrera's face. Herrera staggers backwards, shaken.

Herrera doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Herrera dives in and grabs Avila's left leg, looking for a takedown. Avila pushes down on Herrera's head and hops out.
