Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tiago Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adrian Brewer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mendez comes to the cage accompanied by Trap Door. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Adrian Brewer enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 30 - 0, fighting out of London, Tiago Mendez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Adrian Brewer!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Mendez. No joy for Brewer on that attempt.

Brewer closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mendez's guard.

Mendez looking for a guillotine here but Brewer defends easily.
Brewer content to stall in guard here.
Brewer wants to control from the top but Mendez keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brewer has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mendez is proving hard to escape from.
Mendez has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Mendez is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Brewer would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Brewer wants to control from the top but Mendez keeps moving.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Brewer wants to get up but he can't break Mendez's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Brewer closes the distance but Mendez moves to the side
and Mendez counters with a one-two to the body.

Brewer shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Brewer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mendez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Mendez is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Mendez is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Brewer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mendez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Brewer.

Brewer is working for a submission of some sort.

Brewer is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mendez defends it well.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Brewer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mendez keeps working.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Mendez goes for a double leg but Brewer avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Brewer continues to drive forward.
Despite the aggression on Brewer's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Mendez has a takedown stuffed.
Brewer shoots and misses
and Mendez counters with a series of strikes. Brewer will be more careful next time no doubt.

A close round but Adrian Brewer will probably get the nod.

Mendez moves in looking to clinch but Brewer pushes him off.

Mendez gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Brewer to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Brewer not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Mendez throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Brewer escapes and throws Mendez's legs to the side, diving into side control!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Brewer is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Brewer wants to free his trapped foot but Mendez is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Brewer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Mendez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Brewer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Brewer slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Brewer darts in looking for a takedown but Mendez gets double underhooks and turns Brewer into the cage.

I would just about give that final round to Adrian Brewer.
I think Brewer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
