The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
York moves into the clinch.
York decides to pull guard.
York is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Thompson presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
York blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

York breaks the clinch.
Thompson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Blake York has been cut.
Thompson jabs York right on the nose. York blinks but takes it well.
This has been an exciting period of action!
York throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
York closes this distance looking for a takedown but Thompson circles away.
Thompson keeps the fight on the outside.
York shoots and misses
and Thompson counters with a left to the body.
York really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Thompson closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops York! Thompson dives in looking to finish! York is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
