The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Evans lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Mizuto Gomez has been cut.
Evans throws a lazy right hand but Gomez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Gomez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Evans.
Gomez takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Gomez ducks under a wild hook from Evans.

Evans throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Gomez stumbling backwards into the ropes! Gomez bounces back off the ropes towards Evans, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Evans lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Evans celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
