Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lee Cooke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jilted Royalty!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooke takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Cooke is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Royalty.
The fight stays on the outside here - Royalty looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Cooke avoids the head kick by Royalty.
Cooke changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Royalty looks to land a combination but Cooke avoids it well.

Royalty shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cooke's guard.
Royalty won't allow Cooke to get back to his feet.
Royalty trying to control but Cooke is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Royalty passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Royalty decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Royalty misses with a low kick.
Cooke appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Cooke slips a jab and a cross from Royalty.
Cooke tries to counter by clinching up but Royalty breaks away and moves out of range.
Cooke really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Royalty throws a sloppy head kick and Cooke moves out of range easily.
Cooke gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Royalty counters by moving into the clinch.

Royalty works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Cooke pulls Royalty in close to his closed guard and prevents Royalty from doing any damage or advancing position.

Royalty slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Cooke will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Royalty is looking to stand up but Cooke won't let him.
Royalty looking to pass the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cooke can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Royalty controls the pace.
Cooke trying to keep a closed guard but Royalty is proving a slippery customer.

Royalty gets to his feet - Cooke follows without any prompting.

Royalty shoots in and gets a takedown into Cooke's guard.

Cooke has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Royalty can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Cooke wants to stand and escape but Royalty is having none of it.

Cooke is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Royalty forces his way into half guard.

Royalty stalling.
Royalty thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Royalty is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Cooke controlling the position well.

Royalty perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Royalty gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Cooke jumps guard but Royalty turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Royalty has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Cooke is trying to keep an underhook but Royalty manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Royalty is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Royalty stands up from Cooke's guard - Royalty perhaps looking for a knockout.

Royalty gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Royalty pulls Cooke into guard.
Royalty is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Royalty is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Cooke in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Cooke trying to control the position from guard on top but Royalty is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Royalty. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Cooke throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Cooke wants to get up but he can't break Royalty's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Royalty tries to clinch up but Cooke circles away and keeps his distance.
Cooke throws a big counter combination but Royalty scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Cooke tries for a takedown but Royalty circles away easily
enabling Royalty to counter with a crisp jab.

Royalty fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cooke, pushing him back against the cage.
Royalty wants to break free but Cooke has control.

Royalty jumps into guard, dragging Cooke to the mat.

Cooke has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Cooke throws a big elbow that misses.

Royalty has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cooke can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Cooke is in close to Royalty's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Royalty wants to sweep but no luck.
Royalty is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Royalty is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cooke defends it well.
Cooke is trying to maintain the position but Royalty is very close to passing his half guard.

Jilted Royalty showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Royalty is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Royalty clinches up with Cooke and pushes him back against the cage.

Royalty jumps guard.

Cooke drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Royalty manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cooke has Royalty in his guard.

Royalty stays in close to Cooke's body and controls the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Royalty loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Royalty not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Jilted Royalty has got the better of the ground game so far.
Royalty wants to control from the top but Cooke keeps moving.
Royalty slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cooke wants to control but Royalty postures up.
Cooke tries to buck Royalty off but Royalty is having none of it.
Cooke managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Royalty.

Royalty looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Royalty tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Royalty has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Royalty throws a right and a left that both miss.

Royalty tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cooke swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Royalty lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.


It looks like Lee Cooke has been cut.

Royalty rushes Cooke and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Cooke throws a punch but it's blocked by Royalty.
Royalty has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Cooke successfully pulls guard.
Royalty sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cooke's guard.
Royalty is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Cooke keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Royalty wants to pass the guard but Cooke is defending well.

Royalty seems to be looking for submissions.
Cooke wants to get back to his feet.
Cooke is looking for a sweep. Royalty is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Jilted Royalty comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Royalty has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
