PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Byron Skiddles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manki Keen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Skiddles as he avoids it easily.
Byron Skiddles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Skiddles lands with a shot to the body.
Keen has a takedown stuffed.
Skiddles ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Skiddles scores with a jab to the body.
Skiddles fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Keen on the side of the head.
Skiddles throws a good cross that connects.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Keen takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Keen takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Keen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Skiddles but Skiddles pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Byron Skiddles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Manki Keen.

and Skiddles decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Keen's guard.

Keen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Skiddles defends well.

Keen throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Skiddles lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Keen shoots for a takedown but Skiddles saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Skiddles bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Keen's head.
Skiddles lands a nice hook to Keen's body. Keen takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Keen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Skiddles as he jumps to the side.

Skiddles lands a right hook to the body.
Skiddles cracks Keen with a right hand to the side of the head.
Skiddles displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Keen.
Decent striking displayed by Skiddles there.
Skiddles lands a big right hook! Keen looks hurt but is still standing! Skiddles lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Keen falls down and Skiddles dives in with a huge hammer fist! Keen's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Skiddles runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
