Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cornell Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bitch Made (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cornell Cook!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bitch Made!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Made misses with a few strikes there.
Bitch Made seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Made looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Made throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

It looked like Cook was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Made.
Made throws a right and a left that Cook avoids nicely.
Cook shoots in and drives through. Made sprawls well.

and Cook counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Made thinking.
Cook is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Cook fails to land the takedown.
Cook tries to close the distance and clinch up but Made swats him away and circles back towards the center.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cook blocks a head kick by Made.
Cook bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Cook tries to clinch there but Made circles away.
Made lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Made stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Made wants it to stay on the feet.

Cook moves into the clinch successfully.
Made wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cook has him pressed against the cage.

Cook pulls guard effortlessly.
Made prevents Cook from getting back to his feet.
Cook is trying to keep Made in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Made looking to sit in guard and control but Cook gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Cook would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Cook has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Made is working an open guard so Cook takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Cook closes the distance and lands a one-two.
A slapping body kick lands there for Cook.
Cook tries to clinch up but Made circles away and keeps his distance.
Cook will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Made tries to bum rush Cook with a series of wild strikes but Cook uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Cook dives in and scores a takedown into Made's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cook trying to control the position from guard on top but Made is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Cook gets to his feet - Made follows without any prompting.
Cook dives in for a single leg takedown but Made sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Cook has a takedown stuffed.
Made tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cook shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Made pinned against the cage. Made gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Made will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cook throws a big counter combination but Made scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Made throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Cook counters with a left and a right that stings Made.
Cook shoots in and drives through. Made sprawls well.
Cook shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Made defends it nicely.

An inside leg kick lands from Cook.
Made throws a sloppy head kick
letting Cook counter with a right hand.
Cook throws a sloppy head kick and Made moves out of range easily.
A head kick by Made misses
and Cook cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Made displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cook.
Made fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Cook shoots in looking for a takedown. Made tries to sprawl out of it but Cook keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Made manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cornell Cook dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Made throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Cook throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Made's waist but Made gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cook off to one side.
Cook shoots in and drives through. Made sprawls well.
Cook tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Made swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cornell Cook. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cook really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Cook stands and steps away. Made gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Made looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Cook is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Made can do to turn this around?

Cook's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Made keeps the fight on the outside.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Made in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Made wants to improve his position but Cook is controlling well.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

You can see the frustration on Made's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Cook decides to stand back up. Cook steps back and let's Made get back to his feet.

Cook shoots in but Made avoids the takedown attempt easily.

A left and a right from Made both land. Nice combination.
Cook throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Made.

and Cook counters with a three punch combo that has Made backing up. Made nods at Cook to acknowledge the strikes.
Made will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cornell Cook.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cook, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
