Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeremy Perosh!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perosh fails to land with a series of punches.
Jeremy Perosh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spillane keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Perosh.
Spillane cracks Perosh with a right hand to the side of the head.
Perosh throws an overhand right that lands on Spillane's shoulder, as Spillane tries to avoid the shot.
Spillane throwing a counter right hand but Perosh manages to avoid it.
Perosh swings for the body but Spillane moves out of range.
Perosh tries to land a front kick but Spillane steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Spillane looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A swing and a miss from Perosh.
Perosh tries a low kick but Spillane avoids it.
Spillane slips a jab from Perosh.
Perosh with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Spillane checks a low kick from Perosh.
Perosh misses with a wild combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Spillane blocks the body kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Spillane.
Perosh lands a nice leg kick that just misses Spillane's sensitive parts.
Perosh falls off balance throwing a combination
and Spillane connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Perosh throws the left hand but Spillane avoids the punch easily.
Perosh is looking to chop away at Spillane's legs.
Spillane's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Perosh connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Spillane scrambles back to his feet.
Perosh throws a right hand that Spillane ducks under and follows up with a left that Spillane also avoids with ease.
Perosh takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Spillane fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Perosh manages to avoid it.
Spillane looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Perosh is fending him off so far but Spillane persists. Nope, Perosh circles away and we're back to standing.
Perosh bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Spillane's head.
Perosh scores with a head kick. Spillane tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Spillane ducks under a wild hook from Perosh.
Perosh tries to close the distance and clinch up but Spillane swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Perosh slips under a jab.
Spillane misses with a hook to the body
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Spillane takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Perosh misses with a left hand
letting Spillane counter with a right hand.
Jeremy Perosh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Perosh takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Spillane thows a left - swing and a miss!
Perosh misses with a hook.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Perosh has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Spillane walks into a stiff left hand from Perosh.
Perosh misses with a looping right.
Perosh listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Spillane uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Perosh.
Spillane blocks a jab.
Perosh throws a leg kick but Spillane sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Spillane lands a big right hand that sends Perosh crashing to the mat! Spillane stays standing though and waves Perosh back to his feet!


It looks like Jeremy Perosh has been cut.
Spillane throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Perosh ducks under a wild hook from Spillane.
Sloppy strikes from Perosh. Those never looked like landing.
Perosh lands a jab-cross combination.
Perosh misses with a double jab

and Spillane counters with a double leg. Perosh bangs his head on the mat and seems to be on queer street here... Spillane follows up with punches and the ref steps in to end the fight! It was the slam that caused all the problems.

During a confident post fight interview, Nickey Spillane thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
