Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Goodman clinches up with Holt and pushes him back against the cage.
Goodman lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Holt backwards.
Goodman fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Holt has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Goodman regains guard immediately.
Goodman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Holt is one step ahead there.
Holt postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Holt trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Holt postures up in Goodman's guard and throws a big left but Goodman blocks it.
Goodman pulls Holt in close to his closed guard and prevents Holt from doing any damage or advancing position.
Holt cracks Goodman with a solid left hand.

Holt throws a big right hand that misses.
Goodman avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Holt working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Holt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Goodman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Goodman has his hands on Holt's head, controlling the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Goodman tries for a takedown but Holt sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Sloppy strikes from Holt. Those never looked like landing.
Holt lands a nice hook to Goodman's body. Goodman takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Goodman uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Holt.
Holt bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Goodman's head.
Goodman closes the distance and clinches up with Holt, looking for a takedown. Goodman pushes Holt against the cage but Holt circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Holt misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Holt misses with an uppercut. Goodman saw that one coming.
Goodman drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Holt defends it well.
Holt swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Goodman is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Goodman shoots for a takedown but Holt saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
An attempted straight right counter from Holt misses the target.
Manny Holt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Goodman.
Goodman shoots in looking for a takedown but Holt manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Goodman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Goodman shoots in for a double leg but Holt sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Holt catches Goodman with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Goodman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Holt pinned against the cage. Holt gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Goodman looks winded!
Holt's jab looks to have found its range, popping Goodman under the eye.
Goodman shoots in and drives through. Holt sprawls well.
It looked like Holt wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Goodman dives in for a single leg takedown but Holt sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Goodman shoots in for a takedown but Holt shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Holt manages to break the clinch.
Goodman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Holt swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Goodman staying out of range there.

Holt stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Holt wants it to stay on the feet.
Holt digs a good hook to Goodman's body.
Holt misses with a low kick.
Holt throws out a powerful jab.
