The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Olsen shoots in for a takedown but Roberts shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Olsen shoots in for a double leg but Roberts sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Roberts feints the counter takedown.
Olsen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Roberts's waist but Roberts gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Olsen off to one side.
And Roberts tries to counter it with a takedown but Olsen pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Roberts has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Olsen is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Olsen moves into range and clinches up with Roberts.
Roberts has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Olsen after a bit of a struggle.

Olsen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Roberts is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Olsen gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

That was a close round but I would say that Waylon Olsen will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Olsen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Roberts, pushing him back against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Olsen is on top in guard.

Roberts wants to stand but Olsen is controlling the position.

Olsen drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Roberts manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Olsen has Roberts in his guard.

Olsen wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Roberts manages to pass to side control.

Roberts tries to pass the half guard into mount. Olsen knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Olsen pushes Roberts off looking to stand but Roberts dives back in and keeps control.

Roberts is trying to control. Olsen wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Olsen has Roberts pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Olsen pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Roberts tumbling to the mat - Olsen dives into Roberts's guard.
Olsen won't allow Roberts to get back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Olsen stays in close to Roberts's body and controls the position.
Olsen is standing up over Roberts. Roberts looks to escape but Olsen dives into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Olsen swings around for an armbar but Roberts sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Olsen's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Olsen clinches.
Olsen jumps guard but Roberts stands there with Olsen around his waist. Olsen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Olsen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Roberts just stands there and leans against the cage.
Roberts is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Olsen pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Olsen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
