Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Duncan Macloud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Markus Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Macloud comes to the cage accompanied by highlander theme song. Riley has chosen 'So Many People' by Neurosonic as his entrance music. The key to victory for Duncan Macloud has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Riley drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Riley tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Macloud tries to bench press Riley off him but Riley keeps the position.
Macloud defending against the ground and pound.
Riley prevents Macloud from escaping the position.

Macloud pushes Riley away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Riley gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Macloud shoots in for a double leg but Riley sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Riley changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Macloud looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Riley tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Riley has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Riley is looking to take a break and control but Macloud is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Macloud is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Riley has just dragged him back down to the mat.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Macloud tries to roll over but Riley keeps him under control.

Macloud knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Riley on the ground.
Riley thows a big elbow that misses.
Macloud looking to hit a scissor sweep but Riley is one step ahead there.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Riley decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Macloud is trying to get back to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Macloud trying to hold on to Riley's head to control him but Riley postures up.

Macloud pushes Riley off and gets back to his feet.
Nice sprawl there from Macloud as Riley shoots in.

Riley closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Macloud to the mat! Macloud manages to get full guard.
Macloud is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Riley is controlling him.

Macloud wants to stand up but Riley is controlling him.

Riley thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Riley tries to free his leg and advance position but Macloud is retaining full guard.

Macloud has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Riley can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Riley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Macloud swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Riley lands a couple of elbows.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Macloud lands the left hand.
A telegraphed right hand from Riley misses the target.
Riley wants to clinch.
