Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Baptista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Crewe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Crewe fails with the takedown

and Baptista counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Baptista.
Baptista has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Crewe is proving hard to escape from.

Crewe had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Baptista is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Crewe Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Baptista's back instead.
Baptista tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Crewe is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Baptista is in real trouble.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Crewe is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Baptista has his hands clasped together but Crewe extends an breaks Baptista's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Crewe.
