Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rickson Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jorge Cordes!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cordes fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Cordes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Silva lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Jorge Cordes has been cut.
Silva avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cordes is looking to clinch.
Silva takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Cordes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Silva is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Jorge Cordes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Silva lands a glancing blow to the side of Cordes's head.
Cordes shoots in for a double leg but Silva sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rickson Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorge Cordes.
Cordes throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease.
Cordes blocks a head kick by Silva.

and Silva counters with a two punch combo.
Silva misses with a few strikes there.
Silva connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Cordes! He's out on his feet! Silva rushes in and drops Cordes with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
