The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oregan throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Spatchcock stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Oregan follows into mount!

It looks like Burlington Spatchcock has been cut.
You get the feeling that Spatchcock really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Spatchcock's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spatchcock is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Despite being in the dominant position, Mana Oregan just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Oregan moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Oregan is looking to slow Spatchcock down with leg kicks.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Oregan misses with a head kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Spatchcock crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Oregan - the referee stops the clock and Spatchcock gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Oregan. Spatchcock manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Spatchcock chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Oregan can pounce on him.
Oregan lands a head kick. Spatchcock smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Oregan.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Oregan.
Spatchcock takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Oregan connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Spatchcock to the floor! Oregan dives in looking for the finish!

Spatchcock tries to clinch but Oregan is having none of it.

Oregan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Spatchcock, pushing him back against the cage.

Oregan manages to break the clinch.

Oregan circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Spatchcock drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Oregan follows Spatchcock to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
