Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Maria Garrett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Moha Amine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amine lands a jab.

It looks like Maria Garrett has been cut.
Amine throws a sloppy head kick
and Garrett counters with a one-two to the body.
Amine misses with a series of wild punches.
Garrett is looking to counter with head kicks.
Garrett tries to close the distance and clinch up but Amine swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Amine fails to land with a series of punches.

Amine shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Garrett's guard.

Garrett wants to stand but Amine is controlling the position.
Garrett preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Garrett is trying to control the position but Amine postures up.

Garrett has his foot on Amine's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Amine works his way back into a safe position though.
Amine is looking to pass into half guard but Garrett pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Garrett is in guard.

Amine looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Amine is trying to keep Garrett in close.
Amine is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Amine is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Amine is looking for a triangle but Garrett pushes his legs off easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Garrett postures up in Amine's guard and throws a big left but Amine blocks it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Amine is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Garrett's half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Amine wants to stand but Garrett has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Amine throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Garrett pushes Amine off and gets back to his feet.

Garrett gets a takedown into half guard.
Amine keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Garrett seems to be working for a kimura but Amine defends the submission attempt.
Amine wants to get back to full guard.
Garrett really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Amine is looking to get back to full guard here but Garrett has managed to pass to side control instead.

Garrett stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Horrible takedown attempt by Garrett or perhaps it was just good defense by Amine, which made it look bad.
Garrett swats away the attempt to clinch by Amine.
Amine displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Garrett is rocked!

Amine shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Garrett is on queer street and Amine is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
