Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carl Maywho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johny Utah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Utah dives in and scores a takedown into Maywho's guard.
Utah wants to control from the top but Maywho keeps moving.

Maywho looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Maywho might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Utah is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Utah stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Maywho swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Utah accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Utah decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Maywho, up you get!

Maywho tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Utah gets the takedown into side control.
Maywho is looking to reverse the position.
Maywho takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Utah throws an elbow but Maywho slips to the side and avoids it well.
Utah gets to mount! Maywho was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
The referee warns Maywho that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Utah unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Maywho wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Utah celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
