The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bogtrotter lands a nice leg kick that just misses Valeres's sensitive parts.
Nice uppercut there from Bogtrotter.
A bone on bone clash there as Valeres blocks the leg kick.
Valeres decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Bogtrotter is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Valeres pulls his head out easily.

Valeres decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bogtrotter to his feet.

Bogtrotter escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Valeres gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Valeres shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Valeres was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Valeres takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Bogtrotter is pressing down on Valeres's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Bogtrotter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Valeres doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Valeres manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Valeres has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Bogtrotter clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
