Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Garland Nixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wrestlin Randy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randy throws a lazy body kick

and Nixon counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Randy tries to kick Nixon off but Nixon keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Randy is pressing down on Nixon's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nixon stands and steps away. Randy gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Randy throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Nixon tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Randy is in Nixon's guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Randy in particular looking to stall.

Randy seems to be working for a kimura but Nixon defends the submission attempt.

Well Randy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
